About My Work
When I was 4 years old, I would stand outside our front door and stare at the grout between the red bricks, tracing it with my fingers, feeling the texture, enjoying the colors and the geometric patterns of the bricks.
My world changed when I took my first drawing class. Sitting in a field, drawing a large oak tree, I suddenly understood what it really meant to “see”. Putting charcoal to paper to create that tree unlocked the power of perception.
In my 20’s I began following the path of my passions: art, Tai Chi, acupuncture, anatomy, healthy cooking and baking, friends and family.
I’m grateful to have followed my passions into my 60’s I continue to fulfill my curiosity and love of learning. I study, practice and teach, work with my hands, and continue to grow and discover. I hope you enjoy my work!
